It turns on a dime to ones that we love
It's hard to see coming what reigns from above
So free are the dogs who bark towards the sky
The solemn old men who watch life pass them by
Still, who's to say fate shall take a sad turn
For it may be time that we finally learn
It's strange how we fall but still do we fly
For now do we wake from the crass lullaby
A thousand years coming for the kiss that ran dry
To spare a hint for the cruel and unjust
Niceties aside, these words you should trust
You'll find there's no glory in tainted truth
Expect fortunes undone by familiar youth
Consequence beckons, this game you will lose
The players took note of your sinister ruse
And It's choice that we own at the end of the fuse
So relinquish your throne
And prepare for the cruise
